Abalone usually grows on the seabed with low water temperatures and has a footprint in the Pacific, Atlantic and Indian Oceans. It is recognized that the best production areas are northern Japan and Mexico, and the northeast of our country is also a traditional production area.

Nutritional value

Fresh products have an edible part of 24% protein and 0.44% fat; dry products contain 40% protein, 33.7% glycogen, 0.9% fat, as well as a variety of vitamins and trace elements and glutamate. It is a kind of high-protein, low-fat food that is very beneficial to the human body.

Abalone is rich in protein, of which 30% to 50% is collagen, which is much higher than other fish and shellfish.
